The Punjab State War Heroes Memorial and Museum in Amritsar is a grand tribute to the brave soldiers of Punjab who laid down their lives defending the nation. Located on the Amritsar–Attari Road, just a few kilometres before the Wagah Border, this modern memorial showcases the state’s rich military history and the unmatched courage of its warriors.
The complex features an impressive 45-metre stainless-steel sword standing tall as a symbol of valour and sacrifice. Inside the museum, visitors can explore galleries, 3D displays, murals, and interactive exhibits that depict the heroic stories of battles fought — from ancient times to modern wars like Kargil and the 1971 Indo-Pak conflict.
There’s also a light and sound show that brings alive the bravery and patriotism of Indian soldiers, making the visit both emotional and inspiring. The museum’s design combines traditional architecture with modern technology, creating a powerful experience for tourists and patriots alike.
