Spiti — the middle land between India and Tibet — is the trip for travellers who found Manali too crowded: thousand-year-old monasteries at Tabo and Key, villages like Kibber and Langza with fossil hills, the world's highest post office at Hikkim, and the heart-stopping Chandratal lake. This 8-day circuit from Amritsar does it the classic way: in via Shimla–Kinnaur, out via Kunzum Pass–Manali, so you never repeat a road.
Spiti's roads are an adventure in themselves — the Kinnaur cliff sections, water crossings after Kaza, and the rough Gramphu stretch demand a proper SUV and a driver who has done it before, both of which are the core of this package. We plan fuel (one pump after Reckong Peo!), acclimatisation and buffer time properly, so your adventure stays an adventure, not an emergency.
Best time: June to mid-October for the full circuit (Manali side opens ~June). Shimla-side-only trips possible May and late October.

What is the Amritsar to Spiti Valley tour price?

Which is better — Spiti or Ladakh?
Different flavours: Ladakh is grander and more developed; Spiti is rawer, quieter and closer. Spiti also suits a shorter 8-day window, while Ladakh needs 10. Talk to us with your dates and group and we'll advise honestly.
Is the circuit direction fixed?
We recommend Shimla-side entry (gradual altitude gain = better acclimatisation) and Manali-side exit. Reverse is possible after mid-June but acclimatises harder.
Is mobile network available in Spiti?
Mostly only BSNL/Jio in Kaza, nothing at Chandratal. We brief your family on check-in points so nobody at home worries.
